The client wanted to open up their kitchen, dining and living space to create a more functional and flowing space. Opening up the main entry to the kitchen and creating a kitchen island set into a half wall was a cost effective solution to achieve their goals. Completely severing two main interior partitions while leaving the existing plaster cove ceiling intact was a unique challenge, but I’m very happy with the results.
